About Me
My name is Armanc Yildiz.
I am currently completing a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology at Harvard University, with a secondary degree in Studies in Women, Gender, and Sexuality. At the same time, I work towards a certificate in Writing Consultancy at the University of Education in Freiburg, Germany.
I feel very passionate about writing and thinking about what makes academic writing enjoyable for both the author and the reader. I have been editing my friends' manuscripts and giving them writing advice in the last couple of years and I realized I am not only good at this but I also get immense joy from their success as academic writers. So I decided to start Academics Write to turn my passion into my profession.
I am also a podcast host at the Anthropology Channel of the New Books Network, and just started another podcast called Academics Write, which focuses on the joys of academic writing as well as demystifying the process of academic publishing.
